Pre-Season Outlook
The Jets clearly coveted Corley. In the 2024 draft, the team spent the No. 65 pick to acquire the rookie's services. During his time at Western Kentucky, Corley was targeted between 103 and 143 times in each of the last three seasons. The wideout also found the end zone 29 times during those seasons. One of the primary reasons for Corley's collegiate success was his ability to take a short pass and pile up yards after the catch. However, the rookie's 4.56 40-yard dash time may not result in similar success after the catch in the NFL. Since Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams are locked into the top-two receiving roles, Corley will have to win the No. 3 role during training camp to see a reasonable target total this season. That said, the receiver should have the inside track on that role based on the high draft capital New York used to select him.
